The Climate & Cultivation
Serenje experiences distinct wet (November–April) and dry (May–October) seasons, with the hottest months falling between September and November. This unique climate, combined with the farm’s altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level, creates the ideal conditions for growing the farm’s standout varieties: SL28, Catimor, and Costa Rica.
To enhance sustainability and biodiversity, Kachipapa Farm interplants macadamia trees alongside its coffee plants. This not only supports soil health but also contributes to a more balanced ecosystem.
